Ermm three days of doing nothing will be pure bliss last time i had free time i got to watch some movies... one which really got to me...was The Soloist a truly wonderful movie...

Now i finally go to watch fighting with Channing Tatum as the main character and featuring such actors the likes of the legendary Terrence Howard....

well back to my life again.. the past few days i've been busting my ass trying to work on my first supplement assignment and had learned a lot of things and yea not to forget this is the first time in my life ive to work in the month of Ramadhan and it's really weird the work condition is kinda different even though nothing's change and talking about work the stress is really getting to me normally i cope by just accepting that i was the one that wanted to work as what i am today but sometimes i cant bare it.. it's not the fact that it's time consuming but rather life consuming in the sense i have no time for my self and the more i try to become independent the more time i have for others... that close someone had help me a lot in my time of weakness... but i dunno i feel kind of selfish sometimes... I learned some friends are always there for you and some dont appreciate you ... the only friends i have are the one that are close to me but in time i'll bet they'll linger away i gueess death is not the only thing that can take away a person...

I feel like i have a love hate relationship with the job for one thing it makes me feel needed and wanted on another it's too life consuming but when i finally have a day off and back to my normal life i feel unappreciated and just because im different in a way im labelled as a loser...a geek a dweeb I just feel lonely....

The more i expand my talent the more i feel used... :( well what tommorow brings i dunno the only thing i know i need to get a life or at least make something certain with that someone ive been coping being alone for a long time i just hope that someone knows that i truly truly meant what i said before... and yeah pay is not out again inconsistensy exist in my life hahahah

Sunday August 16,2009 was a day to remember for most of the people who gathered around to see the awesome spectacle of more than fifty people dancing to Michael Jackson's ``Beat It'', ``Thriller'' and ``Smooth Criminal'' in front of Chill, Gadong. The energetic wonderfully choreographed spectacle was brought to the public thanks to the highly unpredictable group of youth known only as``SomethingToDoWithBeans''(STDBW) in their tribute to the King of Pop.

It was a normal Sunday afternoon in Gadong, young people hanging around with friends when suddenly the familiar echoes of foot steps from Michael Jackson's smooth criminal hung in the air followed by the familiar guitar sounds of Eddie Van Halen in Michael Jackson's beat it was played and two random youths suddenly got up and mimic the dance moves of the music icon and followed by many others setting of a snowball effect as people gathered around and took pictures as well as videos of the unexpected almost musical like performance. The dance ended with the now legendary dance moves of Michael Jackson's thriller and in just three minutes it was over but the spectacle would undoubtedly last forever.

The tribute was made possible by the members of STDBW as well as more than 50 volunteers who participated in the dance sequence as well as three dedicated choreographers . Zatty Joanda one of the admins of STDBW and one of the choreographers for the spectacle stated that it took ten hours to teach and for the participants to learn the dance moves and it was surprisingly not as difficult as she thought as most of the participants had the dedication, the team work and most importantly had fun putting it all to work.

Ben Stone one of the founding fathers of STDBW said `` The whole thing is to pay tribute to the King of Pop and how his influence in music as well as dance have touched the world including us in Brunei'' He further added that it also gave exposure to the dancing scene here in Brunei Darussalam as most of the volunteers are members of different dance group in the sultanate and took the chance to pay tribute to Michael Jackson who as most people would agree influence the dance moves of today.

Michael Jackson's family reportedly is considering to have a traditional Muslim burial for the late music performer.

A source close to the Jacksons has exclusively revealed to X17 Online that family will likely have a traditional Muslim burial for late Michael Jackson. "The family is considering following the Muslim burial traditions because they believe Michael would have wanted to be laid to rest in keeping with his new-found religious beliefs," says the source.

"Michael's brother Jermaine is educating the family as to the special rites because he feels it's important to bury his brother according to the Muslim way," adds the source. Despite earlier reports that both public and private memorial services for the late music performer have been set to be held this week, there has been no official confirmation just yet from Michael's family on the location where his body will be laid to rest.

Michael Jackson was reported converting to Islam in late 2008, years after expressing his interest to join the faith. He later on changed his name into "Mikaeel", which was meant as a reference to the name of one of Allah's angels.

In Muslim burial, per X17 Online, someone's body "has to be cleaned, but ideally not embalmed, and wrapped in a white sheet, and it must be buried facing Mecca. The Koran also dictates that the body be buried as close to the place of death and as soon after death as possible. There should be no tombstone near the grave."

THE recent art exhibition organised by G4S at the Sheraton Hotel gave a glimpse of the world which many have not known existed.

The artworks displayed were magnificent but what it represented held greater impact. Ideas, emotions and social criticisms can be seen reflected in the various canvas, frames and sculptures.

General manager Ambrose Nathan of G4S, the company organising the exhibition, said: "Art can be a foundation in developing an individual's identity which can contribute to an individual's emotional development."

The art group consisted of two teachers, one Fine Arts graduate, and five IB Visual Art graduates.

IB Visual Art graduate Mark Chong said that his work was a reflection of his personality.

He added: "My artworks are often blunt and naturally convey an atmosphere of melancholy. I've taken influences from pop culture and the era that I live in; from the grim, foreboding atmospheres of horror films to the narrative and compelling stories of contemporary novels and comics."

He added: "The works are not only a chronicle of the rocky road taken from teenage to adulthood but also an insight into personal fears unbounded by age, class or race."

Adam Hanif was one who was not bounded by the limit of his abilities.

He said: "The artworks that I've done during my years in the International Baccalaureate course have been a journey based around my personality, lifestyle, events and influences that affected me in changes; a time of self discovery as it synchronises with my maturing age. By using photography as my most skilled medium, I am able to convey my perceptions of anything I encounter."

Ayeshah Ahmad's passion and belief for art helped her greatly in exploring and portraying her expressions, while taking a look at society as well as her inner self.

"Over the 18 months of doing the International Baccalaureate course, I have come to develop artworks mostly involving people around me and the different ways that they are perceived."

Art does not limit itself to capturing beauty; it is also about personal experiences and accounts of the artists themselves. Artist Isa chose to portray his emotions in the form of a sculpture personifying the negatives found in his life and displaying it for all to see.

Others, such as Khalisa Ahmad, chose to portray the subtle beauties that no one would ever notice with the naked eye. Her works of floral sketches is unique with detailed precision of intricate lines giving more depth and elegance in what people would normally see as a simple flower.

Jason Chung is an art teacher who graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) with a degree in art (fashion).

The former St Michael School student said that his passion for designing never ceased throughout his time managing his family's business. He has now found a way to express his love for art through imparting knowledge and experience as an art teacher.

The artwork he displayed at the exhibition showed his passion for fashion and love for art merged as one.

Ben Peacocke an art teacher for nine years in the Sultanate with a degree in Art Education had messages in his work, such as "A place in the sun", "But are you happy?" and "Primate" — all addressing the greed many have to make and spend money.

The "9 faces of heaven" is simply a celebration of nine Year 11 ISB girls that he had taught for the past five years and who reminded him of why he enjoyed teaching.

Clearly, art is not just a drawing, a picture or even a slab of material. It is part of who the artist is.

Let's see how this goes.. with the current rise and threat of th H1N1 virus now in Brunei are we going to see people wearing these protective masks??

The answer would most probbly be yes but the real question is will it really help or is it just for show?

As i know that i am and probably most of the people here in Brunei are creatures of habits.

As seen above buying food expose to the open air that we are so afraid of so what's the point?

Even we do wear mask it'll just be another fad.. (reason here-->)especially if it is made compulsory in schools which is a highly splendid idea.. but if we don't change our habits and really follow the steps and precautions given to us by the MOH

Wearing a mask just wont cut it...

Especially if we still cant refrain ourselves from attending certain events and disregard certain procedures such as the newly introduced self quarantine.

I will end this post with a cliche' it is still significant

Social experiment 'Freeze' a hit amongst the youths

THE public saw something unexpected on Sunday at The Mall. What they saw was something to behold, people walking and suddenly freezing in suspended animation.

The event was organised by a group of young people with a vision who call themselves "SomethingToDoWithBeans". Their objective was to provoke the minds of the public.

This random act of street performance arts is open to the general public's own interpretation. The whole public display of expression was the brain child of the initial five founders.

"We wanted to introduce Brunei to something different, a form of performance art and see the reaction given by the public," said Ben Stone, one of the founders, in an interview with The Brunei Times.

" It was our own private social experiment," he added.

What was more amazing was the huge number of volunteers who actually participated.

In just a short period of time (two weeks), more than a hundred people attended the briefing held at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Gadong and participated in the public display of self expression.

This was made possible with the use of the Internet especially social networking sites such as Facebook as well as the increasingly popular Twitter.

"We just invited close friends and the whole thing spread like wild fire,"said Ben.

Some of the participants informed the organisers that they heard about the event through forwarded emails, word of mouth and forwarded invites from Facebook which reached the people of Brunei all around the four districts.

Initially, the whole set up was organised out of the curiosity of the group wondering how people would react? Who would participate in such an extreme public display?

At the event, the volunteers spread themselves out around the target venue, in this case, the ground floor of The Mall and froze for a period of five minutes precisely at 3:20pm.

At that exact moment, groups of people (non-participants) crowded the human statues some taking pictures of the different poses and some actually recorded the whole thing which can be seen on another popular site YouTube—the official video is still in the editing process and will be uploaded once completed.

The group initially predicted that the number of participation would be roughly around 20 to 40 but the turn up on the day itself was beyond their expectation. Almost 200 people showed up comprising mostly of youths.

"Even senior citizens (joined)! I was surprised with the warm reception we got," said Ben.

As for the initial objective of the event, it quickly developed into something more than just a random act of public performance.

A group of participants took the opportunity to spread the H1N1 awareness by donning on protective masks and in their "freeze pose" displaying a sign that read " H1N1 Help Us!".

With that notion more and more volunteers suggested ideas and supported the group for organising the whole unique event.

"Other groups sometimes focus on only talking but we emphasise more on action and with the suggestions and response from the volunteers who participated in the mass display of public expression (and in a way a bit of performing arts), we will organise another unexpected activity so look out for updates soon," said Ben.

Pop superstar Michael Jackson has confirmed his conversion to Islam, according to reports in the Middle East.

The Arab-Israeli newspaper Panorama claims Jackson has announced the move and revealed plans to move to Bahrain, where he has purchased property.

The singer’s Muslim brother Jermaine Friday claimed the “Thriller” hitmaker had taken interest in the religion since Jermaine converted in 1989, and had been considering converting following his acquittal on child abuse charges in 2005.

Jermaine said, “When I came back from Mecca I got him a lot of books and he asked me lots of things about my religion and I told him that it’s peaceful and beautiful.

“He read everything and he was proud of me that I found something that would give me inner strength and peace.

“I think it is most probable that Michael will convert to Islam.

LOS ANGELES, CA – The internet has been abuzz since this Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony, where Megan Fox jokingly remarked that she looked like a man.

However, today she has cleared the air and officially reported: she’s really a man.

Finally got the chance to watch Dragon Ball evolution... and I can see why a lot of people was disappointed but I enjoyed it. I can relate why people hated it , They grew up with Goku.. so expectations were high. The key is to not take it seriously I didn't,it turned out to be a fun movie and the diamond in the rough would be Jamie Chung.

Jamie took chi chi as her own and was amazing in every scene she was in.. Well ok she wasn't like the Chi Chi in the comic but her portrayal of chi chi in the movie made me fell in love with her hahahaha The white guy who played Goku is a lucky bastard! same goes to Shia LeBeouf in Transformers (with Megan Fox)..

The first time I came across this video I was amazed how emotional it was for Aj to dedicate the song to his late father. Some Say "It was better to have loved than to have never loved at all" or something like that. I was awestruck of how his pure emotions seemed to illuminate with each line he sang. It was a kind of a bitter sweet moment for me i seem to relate to what he feels but at the same time realise the things I've missed with growing up without my father what memories I could have shared with him.

I never had a chance to know my father to really bond. I was too young to appreciate what I had .I was just a kid, as I grew older; I never had a chance to ask myself what would my father do in a situations like this. But in a way his legacy guided me with the help of tales told by my mom or from his old friends people said he was a good guy and the childhood memories of him plays like a playlist of reminiscence.

So be grateful if your dad is still with you take this chance to learn lessons from him. As you continue to grow older you have less and less chance to have that father son moment. Happy Father's Day! .to all fathers.

Hello mister blog how are you.. let me tell you what happened last night. I finished up work a little bit late and decided to say good bye to some of my colleagues in the other room.. they had the television switched on and i just realised DPMM was playing the finals last night for the cup. The truth is I'm not much of a football fan but there's something about unity in sports that people seem to relate especially such a big match like last night. so i was already burnt out working throughout the week but watching that dramatic match was well worth staying a bit late at the office the penalty shootout was a perfect ending to DPMM's fairytale story congratulations DPMM FC.. GEGAR GEGAR ahhahaha(Don't no what's that about but we have our own anthem sudah)

I have truly experienced irony at it's finest dear blog. Just as I was ready to go home a trip to the ATM and a quick stop at shell to buy a recharge card something happened. My car died. why irony you might ask owh wondrous blog? well the next day was finally my day off and had plans line up and the irony of it is my car and plus when the next day is my off day so i cant be mad as shit at least i dont have to panic about finding another way of attending my assignments. All well ends well the car is back and running so nothing to complain about.. so everything straighten out by itself... and with my vehicle A ok i'll be able to attend to afta's BBQ so looking forward to that thank you dear blog for letting me tell my tale.. till next time.

This past few days a matter of fact have been ups and downs for me.. been thinking about some things both personal and professionally and i don't know... Life still boggles my mind..

Cuzzies are back in Brunei (Jimbo's already here Afiq and Boboy coming in a few days time) and a few friends so this month or the coming months to come will be spectacular triggering old memories and sharing new experiences with them..

Last Sunday was great the weather was nice it started with scorching heat but after a lil bit of rain it was perfect.. the sun was shining the temperature was cool and the air was still humid in other words "I Like Tuh" hahahaha.. well yea.. Kimbo invited me to go to the beach he and his team (Knights) were having a get together to play Rugby at Muara Beach so i said to my self me" self siuk jua tu" Me " awu ah".... The Knights male and female team were there and had a friendly mixed skirmish.. And the scenery at the beach was perfect.. to sum it all up it was a relaxing weekend The beautiful scenery the perfect weather and some friends to hang out with.. here's a few pics to summarise the activities..

The reason I wanted to write a blog was a way for me to express my self , to say what i wanted to say to further develop my sense of self expression but with just a few post the criticisms started to rain in. well just A criticism I'm not one to name names. The criticism is mostly on the part of the Way i write but don't get me wrong , to me writing formally or if one can write properly that's something one could take pride in but to me words are magical not just in writing or on computer screens but how we as people use it say it pronounce it. A word added with sarcasm can be both funny yet if someone took it in a wrong way a word can hurt... so if i say Kick Ass to those who's not familiar to the expression it means something is Really wonderful or good it does not mean literally kick ass as if I'm planning to kick some one in their ass and if i make fun of myself by saying I suck as an example it is not by any means a sexual innuendo it is as far from it.. i use it as a term of humour to better humble myself c'mon if your willing to make fun of someone else why not make fun of your self... that's the beauty of writing even by writing this i get to solve my own problems writing makes you think it has a structure and at this point of during the writing of this post i have created a an experience one where readers may relate or at least even in one split momment brought readers to feel what i feel and brought them out to think about the things i have just pointed out without them realising it. Even without even knowing me they are able to hear my thoughtss that's the beauty of language and again words...

Couldnt get my hands off my camera.. it's like an obsession.

A story: well i was sent on an assignment today at RTB i was so psyched to try out my camerea on the field but alas I SUCK!! , seriously i'm still trying to get the hang of focusing as well as positioning my self for the pwerfect shots.. with the kit lens i still have to get closer..

At the office Melvin attached his lens and his Flash to my 500D, That was kick ass!!! i even played around with Naz's Wide lens and his tele lens My Camera was on frickin steriods.... ayte that's it for now.. and yeah finish my work early today.. but tommorow i wasnt assign to anything so i'll probably think of something tonight..

Finally got it a little bit but there's still room for improvement. I still need to know how they got all those gadget things thoughs... I'm going to try to get some "shut eye". Honestly i don't know why i'm doing this am i talking to my self...??? Maybe if i treeat it as a scrap book like blog or a straight up Journal??? welll only time will tyme Good Nyte too me then Me: Thanks you too... weird.......

Still trying to figure out what's the purpose of my blog , i'll probabl use it as a means to entertain my self for the time being . Experimenting with different styles of writing diferent topics and probably even pictures music movie reviews but it's not certain.. cant wait to see how it's going to turn out ....
